About the project

Leaves Builders successfully converted a disused retail unit into a fully functional Day Centre for vulnerable adults on behalf of the Fitzroy Support Charity.

The project involved the removal of all existing retail fixtures and fittings, followed by the installation of new drainage and structural steel works.

Soundproofing was carried out on walls and ceilings to enhance the environment, while the internal layout was reconfigured to create new rooms tailored to the centre’s needs.

Accessibility was a key focus, with the installation of a front-of-house coffee area and a DDA-compliant learning kitchen, along with accessible toilet facilities, communal washrooms, and fire detection systems.

The transformation was completed with a newly designed shopfront featuring custom graphics, as well as high-quality decorative finishes, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive space for service users.
